CHAS. BOYD is a software architect at Microsoft. He joined
the Direct3D team in 1995 and has contributed to releases
since DirectX 3. During that time he has worked closely with
hardware and software developers to drive the adoption of
features such as programmable hardware shaders and float
pixel processing into consumer graphics. Recently he has
been investigating new processing architectures and applications for mass-market consumer systems.
