Assistant or Associate Professor
The Computer Science Department at Cal Poly,
San Luis Obispo, invites applications for a full-time, tenure- track Computer Science faculty
position at the Assistant or Associate Professor
rank beginning no later than Fall 2013. Rank and
salary are commensurate with qualifications and
experience. Candidates with industry experience
are encouraged to apply. Duties include teaching
undergraduate and master’s level courses, enriching the development of a curricula emphasis
in cyber security; performing research in an area
of cyber/computer security; and providing service
to the department, the university, and the community. A doctorate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a
closely related field is required. Particular areas of
interest include: network security, mobile security, information assurance, usability and security,
digital forensics, and biometrics.
Candidates must have a strong commitment
to teaching excellence and laboratory-based instruction; dedication to continued professional
development and scholarship; and a broad-based
knowledge of computer science/software engineering. Demonstrated ability in written and oral
use of the English language is required.
Cal Poly emphasizes “learn by doing” which
